This is the first song I wrote on piano; I guess the song was germinating for years but it took the acquisition and some basic learning on piano for the song to emerge. It's for my late brother Tom.
lyrics
Walking on the streets of your hometown
The place where you grew up, the place where you came down
The shuffling of feet, stopping for one last look around
The place where you were lost
The Place where you found yourself
Can you feel the good vibes
Can you feel the love
And we might be saying goodbye
It's a temporal thing, a transient flight on Wings of Dust
And after the ashes, and after the dust
We adjourned to the bar to do as we must
We drank to your health, we laughed and we cried
And we couldn't believe that our brother had died.
I walked across the street of your home town
Intent on quenching your thirst
But I drank jthe whole lot down
We partied through the night and we sang your favourite song
But we couldn't remember all of the words without you there to sing along
Can you feel the good vibes
Can you feel the love
And we might be saying goodbye
It's a temporal thing, a transient flight on Wings of Dust
